What does Jesus tell us is our responsibility to the world?
"You shall not pollute the land in which you live.... You shall not defile the land in which you live, in which I also dwell; for I the LORD dwell among the Israelites." (Numbers 35:33-34)
"If you besiege a town for a long time, making war against it in order to take it, you must not destroy its trees by wielding an ax against them. Although you may take food from them, you must not cut them down. Are trees in the field human beings that they should come under siege from you?" (Deuteronomy 20:19)
Jesus tells us to not pollute the land on which we live. We should keep this world clean and lead a happy life in it. If we have a war, we should not kill nature and people because he has made these things and he want us to take care of his creation. Jesus wants us to keep he world a happy place. He wants us to make it feel like heaven. He want us to take care of it like it's our house. Jesus doesn't want us to pollute the lands and the river and mess the environment up. He wants us to have clean air. In that way, he actually wants us to be happy. We wouldn't be as sick or have as many diseases if the world wasn't so polluted. If we had taken care of the world the way he wanted us to, then we probably wouldn't be facing seventy percent of the problems that we do. Maybe if we start listening to God's words now, we could change the way things are and live in a more healthy and happy environment.
